Online devotionals for busy mothers

The season of motherhood is a busy one. Finding quiet moments in general is challenging. Finding time to get into God’s Word can be just as challenging.

Short devotions for moms can be a great way to press pause for a couple of minutes in your day to connect with God and dwell on Biblical truth.

From my own motherhood journey, I know the busy mom life quite well. These days my children are both in school, and so that gives me a better chance of quiet time.

Yet, I also very much remember the days as a new mom or mom to littles and how doing even daily devotions seemed overwhelming. It was during that season I needed God’s provision even more, though.

Motherhood is all consuming and my own strength wasn’t enough to get through the days.

So, I’ve started putting together a better mom devotional online for free. I post one new devotional for each week of the month focusing on one Bible verse and with a prayer included at the end as well.

The just-right-sized readings are full of practical wisdom and spiritual encouragement. Taking just a few short minutes to dwell on God’s love can change your attitude for the day.

I’m also excited to offer them online. Devotional books are terrific, but we pretty much always have our phones with us with access to the Internet.

The power of devotions for moms

Getting into the Bible is vital for spiritual growth. It reminds us of God’s power and love.

I also know that God understands the seasons of our lives. He knows when we are overwhelmed and busy.

In those times, it’s the little things that can make a big difference. When I’m more connected to God, then my family’s well-being benefits.

I am a better mom when I’m focused on my heavenly Father. And definitely note that I’m not a perfect mom. None of us can attain perfection — we’re not Jesus Christ!

But I do have a better attitude and demeanor when I’m connecting with God. I am able to set a good example for my children of what a life lived for God can look like.

Spending time with God intentionally often brings me complete spiritual refreshment that keeps me going throughout the daily grind.

These are all things devotions for moms can help with.
